Francis Coppola’s literary magazine, Zoetrope: All-Story, has won the 2016 National Magazine Award for fiction, the highest honor due an American periodical. This is the third time that Zoetrope: All-Story has received this award, also winning in 2001 and 2012.

Fiction contenders are judged on a singular story that has appeared in the publication over the course of the year. This year, that story included Anthony Marra’s short story, “The Grozny Tourist Bureau,” which was published in the Fall 2015 Issue (Vol. 19 No. 3). Click here for the complete list of winners.
