Zoetrope: All-Story Winter 2018/2019 Issue

David Lynch designed the Winter 2018/2019 Issue (Vol. 22, No. 4) of Francis Ford Coppola’s literary magazine, Zoetrope: All-Story, where Thaïs volunteers as an editorial reader. This issue features the work of two of Thaïs’s favorite fiction writers, Tommy Orange and Esmé Weijun Wang, as well as a classic reprint of William S. Burroughs’s “The Discipline of DE,” with an introduction by Gus Van Sant.

CRAFT Elements Contest

Thaïs Miller’s short story, “Passing,” has been named one of three winners in the CRAFT Elements Contest. Her story won the award for Setting (and was a finalist for Dialogue). This short story will be published in January. Stay tuned for additional information.

Thaïs’s short story “Late Arrivals,” about a time-traveling Vietnam veteran, was recently accepted for publication in the 7th issue of So It Goes, the literary magazine of the Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library.

Reading at VonnegutFest

So It Goes

Thaïs’s short story “Late Arrivals” was recently accepted for publication in the 7th issue of So It Goes, the literary magazine of the Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library. She has been invited to read from her short story at VonnegutFest (the library’s annual festival to celebrate the work and life Kurt Vonnegut) on Saturday, November 10 at 12pm in the Frank and Katrina Basile Community Room at the Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library (340 N. Senate Ave., Indianapolis, IN).

The event is free and open to the public and will be serving asterisk cookies from Lemon Tree Cookies.
